Hey there! The new update of the app, 5.2, has just been released.

One of the changes in this update is how the APK version is handled. As you know, using Revo as an actual launcher required you to download an external APK. This is because many people set the Play Store app as their launcher by mistake, and then didn't know how to leave the app. However, with Revo Launcher v5.2, that's no longer the case! I've found a way to enable the "launcher capabilities" of the app dynamically, and only if you click the button for it + accept the popup.

This means that, now, the Play Store app is both the launcher and not-launcher version!. This brings many advantages, like improved security for the users and the app auto-updating when required.

Unfortunately, this also means that you're gonna have to migrate your data to the Play Store version. But fear not! Here are the easy steps on how to migrate your data from the APK to the Play Store version:

• Download Revo Launcher v5.2 through Play Store. Click here to go to the Play Store page!
• Export your data from Revo Launcher's APK (Revo Menu -> Settings -> Export Revo Launcher data).
• Import your data ".zip" file to Revo Launcher's Play Store version (Revo Menu -> Settings -> Import Revo Launcher data).
• Make sure the process finished correctly and your files are imported successfully!
• Do not uninstall the APK version until you know that your data is showing up properly in Play Store's version. Better be safe than sorry!
• If your channels, animations and themes are safe at the Play Store version, you're done! Feel free to set the Play Store version as your new launcher.

P.S.: If you can't download the Play Store version for whatever reason, you can still get the app at GitHub. But keep in mind that now it's the exact same version as Play Store's one!

Uno de los cambios de esta actualización es cómo se distribuye la versión APK. Como sabes, para usar Revo como un launcher de verdad tenías que descargar una APK externa. Esto es porque mucha gente ponía la app de la Play Store como su launcher por error, y luego no sabían cómo salir de la app. Sin embargo, con Revo Launcher v5.2, ¡eso ya no es un problema! He encontrado una forma de activar las "funciones de launcher" de la app dinámicamente, y sólo si hacer click en el botón necesario para ello + aceptas el popup.

Esto significa que, ahora, ¡la app de la Play Store es tanto la versión launcher como la no-launcher! Esto trae muchas ventajas, como una seguridad mayor para los usuarios y las actualizaciones automáticas de la app.

Por desgracia, esto también significa que vas a tener que migrar tus datos a la versión de la Play Store. ¡Pero no te preocupes! Estos son los pasos para migrar tus datos fácilmente de la APK a la versión de Play Store:

• Descarga Revo Launcher v5.2 a través de la Play Store. ¡Haz click aquí para ir a la página de la Play Store!
• Exporta tus datos desde la APK de Revo Launcher (Menú Revo -> Ajustes -> Exportar datos de Revo Launcher)
• Importa el ".zip" con tus datos en la versión de Play Store de Revo Launcher (Menú Revo -> Ajustes -> Importar datos de Revo Launcher)
• ¡Asegúrate que el proceso terminó con éxito y tus datos son importados!
• No desinstales la versión APK hasta que te asegures que tus datos se muestran correctamente en la versión de Play Store. ¡Más vale prevenir que curar!
• Si tus canales, animaciones y temas se pueden encontrar en la versión de la Play Store, ¡has terminado! Puedes poner la versión de Play Store como tu nuevo launcher.

P.D.: Si no puedes descargar la versión de Play Store por cualquier razón, todavía puedes conseguir la aplicación en GitHub. ¡Pero ten en cuenta que ahora es exactamente la misma versión que Play Store!
